On of the things I like about this pic is that this character is clearly a 40k character and easily an acolyte, but you can't tell his career just by glancing at him. He could be just about anything other than a tech-priest.

So a Tech-priest huh? how about this then ^__^

That thing is a damned mutant heretic!

DIE MUTIE DIE!

But, he's a pure and lovely child of the Omnissiah! His true flesh is almost complete and he exudes the emotionless peace of the Machine Spirits themselves.

Very nice pic. The foreshortening on the servo-clamps and the detail on the console look great.

There really are some great artists in this community. Respect!

Note that the Sisters do indeed execute AM members here and there if they fail the purity control checks irregularly conducted by the AS. But that has already been covered in another thread.

Acolyte AES: great pictures i envy your skill and your work emphasises how unconcerned my fellow players are with their character-appearance. they even can't be bothered to come up with a decent background story though there is so much information available :/

Of course, it is part of the AS job. I was just making a joke of Pirate Kittens over zealous behaviour as a representative of the AS, and how it could cause serious political problems (in my games it would anyway, as that would be fun to roleplay). It is also why I think the AS would never do a purity control on another Adeptus without very strong Inquisitorial support/presence, just to make sure no mistakes like this happen. Dont mess with the AM lightly, the AM givith, the AM can taketh away.

P.S. absolutely great artwork Acolyte AES, I wish I could draw that well

Things kept getting better, then something really really really bad happened. Then a good AND bad thing happened. Then some good things started happening again. Then bad things started up again. Bad things kept managing to happen. Bad things continue to this day.

YOU are meant to help make some good things happen, but eventually, no matter how hard you try, some really bad things will happen to you. Eventually, probably sooner than later, one of those bad things will kill you, which is needless to say, a bad thing.

WOW at the picture of the tech-priest very well done! I've only really started to do drawings of people (mostly used to still life) so it's hard to sometimes get preportions right and my drawings always end up with a sort of Anime-esque feel to them, I would upload them if my scanner still worked ¬_¬.

Just hope I can get to the point where I can make the characters I draw look semi-realistic!

You lot have clearly sold your souls to ruinous powers in exchange for artistic ability.

I on the otherhand have remained untainted and utterly without artistic talent.

Not my 'character', but my Inquisitor.
Behold, Lord Inquisitor Auric Kotus, Ordo Hereticus, Sector High Inquisitor of the Hazeroth Abyss and big boss of my current party.

Camp? Look at the chin on him! He's the manliest man that ever manned. For the Emperor.

Nicely done. It's reasonably rare to see 40k art drawn in a comic book style, and not at all unwelcome when it shows up.

Thanks! I've done a few other pieces in the same style, but none that I'm as proud of as this one

Just goes to show you that it doesn't have to be realistically drawn to look effective

LoL!! nice ^___^

And so starts the holy war between the Adeptus Sororitas and the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Zealous Faith vs. the Power of Titans...... only the ruinous powers shall stand victorious on this field of battle.

I'm so glad to have been a part of this epic struggle.

Sure it isn't Lord Inquistor Brick McLargeHuge?

Dig the style, I have a hard time doing blocky myself. Aerion the Faithful does a similar style (he's on a few boards and Deviantart), so it's worth checking out.

I'll need to post whatever crazy stuff my players draw for their characters, hehe.

Very nicely done evilscary.
The style reminds me a lot of Genndy Tartakovsky's Samurai Jack or the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon...

Warhammer 40k: Dark Heresy the Animated Series anyone?

In the Dark Future of cartoons There Is only War.

The things I would do to bring such a thing about...though it'd be hard to decide what sort of characters to focus on. Space Marines are the "easy," choice, but a show about Guardsmen would also work really well. Especially when you contrast the aformentioned Marines with the main characters when they finally show up. And that's just covering the Imperium.

It was very inspired by Clone Wars, yes!

As for a 40K cartoon; that'd be sooo cool!
