So what other games were you planning to run?

We are just starting up a Grey Knights group, a Daemonhunters group, and will have a Sisters of Battle group in the fall...

We are also hoping to get together a GM and some players for an eldar group, and even an Imperial Navy/Rogue Trader group in the future.

I checked it out, and it looks interesting. The Grey Knights game says that there's an interrogator slot open that seems promising.

Yes, and I am also looking for an Interrogator for my Daemonhunters group, which will be more along the lines of a traditional Dark Heresy game.

I'll be starting that over the summer.

It should be fun having two Ordo Malleus games running at once, one depicting the high level, Grey Knight assaults, and the other the lowly, undercover efforts of the Agents of the Inquisition.

What about Imperial Assassins, can you play those?

Yes, in at least two of the games, the Grey Knight game and the Daemonhunters game, players can roleplay Imperial Assassins, to include Death-Cult Assassins and those of the four Temples, Callidus, Culexis, Eversor and Vindicare.

What's the difference in those two games?

Well, obviously the Grey Knights game focuses on a group of Grey Knights, and their accompanying staff.

The Daemonhunters focuses more in inquisitorial retinue, and is more along the lines of traditional Dark Heresy.

It should be fun to see the Macro and Micro of the Ordo Malleus at work...

The website looks very interesting. Naturally there are a few simple questions about what we can play on that list.

1. Are stormtroopers open for either the IG or the Daemonhunter storylines?

2. What about commissars?

3. And of course many would ask about an Inquisitor.

I personally would be most interested in a Stroomtrooper for the Inquisition. But if a Stormtrooper is worked in through experience and merit as just a guardsman first, I'd rather start that way and see if I'd live!

For every battle honor a thousand heroes die alone, unsung and unremembered.

Great set of questions.

As the Imperial Guard and Inquisition are in crossover mode right now, it would absolutely work for you to come in an an Imperial Guard Stormtrooper and then be recruited by the Inquisition at the end of the crossover.

At that point, you could potentially start a second Commissar character for the Imperial Guard game.

As for Inquisitors, those are pretty much GM-level characters, but Investigators or Interrogators would be very workable.

Thanks for answering! I'd be happy to do a Stormtrooper for any story arc that is open and like I had said before I don't mind starting as a grunt guardsman if that helps the story more (I am much more into a good story than a powerful character). I am very easy to work with cause I know how it is to be the GM and have a thousand different character types wanting to be in the same story even when they normally wouldn't work together.

A commissar would be my personal second choice only because they are so iconic to the Imperial Guard IMO. I think that it would be a nice change of pace for me since I often Scum type characters in other systems.

Just hit me back when you get a chance and I'll try to get involved ASAP. I am going through RPG withdrawal since there are not a lot of gaming groups that I know of where I live. I just need to know how to submit a character through you guys and to make sure that I'm doing things correctly for the story arc.

Thanks again for your time!

No problem, you are more than welcome to join us.

Just jump in here...

The stormtrooper would be a great character, I think, and fun for Daemonhunter/Dark Heresy as he adjusts to being among civilians and moving beyond just combat situations. I would even give him a special weapon.

If you decide you'd like to also play the Commissar, the crossover plot will be splitting up around August, so the Imperial Guard and Daemonhunters will go into seperate groups.

Just an update...

Warhammer 40K/Dark Heresy Online Roleplaying Community

Hollow World is an online roleplaying game based in the universe of Warhammer 40k and Dark Heresy. We do not strictly use a rules system, but instead our Game Masters and Players employ free form storytelling to move along their adventures.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorld40K/

We are currently seeking new Game Masters to run additional plotlines, as well as new players to help create these new plots or to join existing ones.

During the summer, I plan to start up a new plot which will very much be along the lines of a Dark Heresy game, and will feature a group of Inquisitorial Agents searching out the things that go bump in the night. It will be oriented towards elements of mystery and horror, with a focus on roleplaying, investigation and problem solving. Appropriate characters would include Dark Heresy Characters, Hired Guns from Necromunda, Inquisitorial Agents from Inquisitor, or Inquisitorial Retinue from the Daemonhunter and Witch Hunter Codexes.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldDH/

We also currently have several ongoing games, plus additional roleplaying opportunities.

The first is based on the Space Wolves Chapter of Space Marines, and features a number of characters from the Ragnar novels. They are currently launching an assault into a Necron Stronghold.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldSW/

The second is based on an Adeptus Mechanicus Expedition to the blasted Rad World of Beryl to investigate the possible location of an STC device.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldAM/

The third is a loose-knit group of various Imperial Guardsmen and other Imperial Servants (sort of a catch-all) who are currently fighting Tyranids on Hollow World itself. The IGs are currently part of a crossover adventure with the Space Marines, Inquisition and Tau.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldIG/

The fourth is a group from the Tau Empire, made up of Tau, Kroot, Vespid and other races, who are part of a diplomatic and trade fleet visiting Hollow World, but also enacting their own plans for the Greater Good. The Tau are also part of the crossover event.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldTE/

The newest plot, just starting up, features members of the Grey Knights.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldGK/

In addition, we have Morg’s Pit, which is a tavern area and general purpose welcome area for new characters, run by me, with a rogues gallery of NPCs.

We also will be starting up games for Deathwatch Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, and Eldar in the near future.

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HollowWorldDW/

If you have any interest in running a plotline as a Game Master, or a new idea for a game group in which you would want to participate, please let me know and I will do my best to make this happen, as far as finding a GM and/or players for that plot.

If you have any questions, please contact BlkSabbath74@yahoo.com

BTW, We could use a GM for an Eldar plotline...as well as other GM positions.

Ideally, I would like to have an assistant GM, or Co-GM for EVERY game to ensure that it doesn't fall apart if one guy drops it...

Ok I've signed up with the group and I'm now starting to flesh out a character idea for the stromtrooper. It may take a few days but I should have something decent by then. As for the special weapon, I'm just happy with being able to have a Hellgun and sealed Carapace Armor that is standard with the stormtroopers. But if it helps for me to have a special weapon then that is fine by me. Boy do I love chainswords and flamer weapons

Again thanks for the invite and look forward to gaming with you all very soon!

Yeah, seems like any all combat types would need to fulfill special roles in a plot heavy on horror and investigation...

A good point, yes, anyone who was going to be combat oriented would want to specialize to fill a specific role.

So what is your Daemonhunter group consisting of thus far?

At this point, we have;

1 Inquisitor (GM Character)
2 Enforcers (on a sperate plot, which will intersect eventually)
1 Assassin (Currently innactive)
1 Acolyte (Psyker/Inquisitor in Training)
1 Sanctioned Psyker
1 Sensei (Old Rogue Trader Fluff, Vessel of the Emperor)

I would love to get more characters, and even Co-GM Inquisitor, if possible.

I think according to the old Rogue Trader fluff, a sensei was an actual son of the Emperor...

Yes, basically, the Sensei are physical children of the Emperor. They do not age and are connected with the Starchild, which is the name for the Emperor's psychic presence within the warp.

They are charismatic leaders, and they do not generall understand what they are.
