Fantasy Flight Games is proud to present League Play for Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game. In this organized play format, players can compete in a friendly and casual environment at their Friendly Local Game Store for cool prizes and a chance to help contribute to the future of the Warhammer: Invasion metagame.
A Warhammer: Invasion league is a great way to explore the Living Card Game™ in a casual format. A league is played over a number of weeks, with a card pool that makes the game more accessible to newer players.
The first Warhammer: Invasion storyline league kit features:
• A storyline campaign packet with a guide to starting and running a league at your store, as well as information on the current storyline and voting forms (see below).
• 1 24" x 14" playmat
• 1 Warhammer: Invasion binder
• 2 league pins
These pins for the Chaos and Empire factions are your ticket to special invitational events coming next year. Anyone who has won a pin through their league or other event is automatically qualified to enter these special invitational tournaments. (More information coming soon.)
For this inaugural league storyline, the players of Warhammer: Invasion will have a choice to make:
The forces of Order and Destruction rise against each other in deadly combat, marshaling soldiers and siege engines, creatures and cultists, in order to claim total domination of the Old World. Now you must choose a side and help to bring a new champion into the fray. Will it be a lord of Order and light, or a master of Destruction?
The votes cast in this league will determine whether Teclis or The Changeling enters the Warhammer: Invasion metagame. You decide!
Call your Friendly Local Game Store today and tell them that you want to start a Warhammer: Invasion league!
The battle begins and Order and Destruction will clash!
League kits cost $15 and are available to brick-and-mortar retailers through the Fantasy Flight Games B2B store. For more information and to sign up for a B2B account, contact your FFG sales rep or email email@example.com.
Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order -Dwarfs, High Elves, Empire- or the forces of Destruction -Orcs, Chaos, Dark Elves- as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World.
how do you get that binder!?
Are the League packs still available?
"X (Zone) Only" keyword restriction is a play restriction and not a constant state according to the rulebook.
Teclis can only blank the text box of a unit in play (unless otherwise specified you may not target a card that is not in play). So yes you could blank the text box of a card that said Battlefield Only, but you wouldn't be able to move it without other effects. It will be interesting if they say Zone Only cards is a play state or a constant requirement. IOW does he have to be played into that Zone but can be moved to others or if it is constant do attempts to place such a card someone else fail or cause discard. If it is a constant state Teclis would force a discard of the card I imagine. If it is a play state requirement once he had been played and blanked, he could be moved anywhere.
as jogo said what about other countries will England be gettin anything like this pack?
I knew these were coming, but I didn't realize so soon! Anyone in the Cambridge, MN, area, we will definitely be getting this kit.
I don't think a normal citizen cold order the pack, because all the players couldo order their own pack and have the pins for the next year invitational.
Anyway, i'd like to have my pack at our Local Game Store =)
I've got the binder, I NEED THAT MAT!!!!
Can a normal citizen (as opposed to a store owner) purchase the pack?
Add me to the list of people that'd like a list of participating stores added. *hoping one near Indy is, this means you Saltire Games*
"The battle begins and Chaos and Destruction will clash!"
But...where does that leave the forces of Order? Are they simply overly enthusiastic spectators? Anyhow, my money's on Destruction in this match, 'cause Chaos' lot in life is to lose. ;)
Well, can it effectively remove the "Battlefield Only" text? What happens then when that unit's text returns? I can see how it could be useful though, maybe too useful to appear only in one faction though maybe?
What about foreign countries? Will e.g. Heidelberger get some packs for their shops.
