FFG is pleased to announce a versatile new addition to our Fantasy Flight Supply product line: Gaming Tokens! The same style of tokens that can be found in the popular card game Citadels are now available for purchases separately, and in five distinctive colors!
Available in blue, red, green, silver, and gold, Fantasy Flight Supply Gaming Tokens come in packs of twenty and are a perfect tool for any gamer’s collection. Made of attractive marbleized plastic, these tokens are stackable and easy to store. Use them to replace the cardboard bits of your current games, or make them components in your own original game design projects!
Coming this winter, Fantasy Flight Supply Gaming Tokens make great all-purpose components. Once you have them, you’ll wonder what you did without them!
Fantasy Flight Supply is a complete line of board game accessories to protect and customize your games.
One cool thing to use for gaming tokens for is foreign currency. All the loose change that you never can convert back can really add a lot to themed games. These FF tokens look a bit too much like throat lozenges to be taken too seriously.
I understand that FFG wants to sell tokens. However, they should be more themed. These look so plain. What about themes like Fantasy, SF, Horror with a shape that matches the theme?
I don't think tokens are a very good idea. Thanks to the CCG market, tokens and counters are pretty much easily and cheaply available at the FLGS, not to mention the local beads shop! I'd prefer FFG sell *draw bags* for tiles. Since they own Arkham Horror, they can even sell a AH custom drawstring bag.
I third the glass token notion.
Slightly expensive for tokens but i still plan on getting a dice bag full of them for gold and influence tokens :)
Yeah you can get great tokens at any arts & crafts store. The only way I would buy tokens at a premium price from a gaming company is if they were customized for the game and looked awesome. Like golden lion heads for Lannister.
These are generic and uninteresting =/
To few to legitimate any price over 10 cents !!!
It seems to me FFG wants to milk my moneybox with every new Article they announce. The more I read the more I miss the old days. So please FFG stopp this, or I can't love you anymore!
Coolness! I approve highly. These might make much nicer gold tokens for AGoT.
I own Citadels. These are rather small. They are probably around the size of a dime, but of course a lot thicker. They are damn good quality too.
These would need to be pretty small to really be useful - they look a bit too big but it's hard to tell based on the picture.
I must admit the fact that they are stackable does give them some advantages for certain applications.
Glass beads are fine, but flat tokens would work better for games like Tannhauser, where I use crappy bingo chips to mark smoke grenades and exhausted characters. These would look a lot sweeter and I can afford it.
