Greetings Rogue Trader fans!

This week I have something very exciting to show you. It is the first preview of the Rogue Trader core rulebook, and it is the unveiling of the eighth and final Career from the book, the Explorator!
Be sure to check out this 2-page .pdf for a glimpse into the Rogue Trader core rulebook, debuting at Gen Con in August!
Explorator Career Path - web-quality (PDF, 1.8 MB)
Explorator Career Path - high-resolution (PDF, 9.0 MB)
Keep checking back to the FFG site, because there will be more previews and thoughts from the designers coming up!
Rogue Trader is a roleplaying game set in dark gothic far future of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe. Players take on the roles of explorers aboard a Rogue Trader's ship, searching for profit and adventure while discovering new alien cultures and threats in the uncharted regions of space.
If they make the Death Watch RPG system that has been rumoured i want a game where you have a Ordo Xenos Inquisitor/Acolytes with a Death Watch kill team aboard a Rouge Traders ship
I can't await to see more of this interesting RPG. I finally started playing Dark Heresy three months ago and really love the game system. Maybe in this winter, there will be a nice change in theme, when my players give up inquisitorial work and do their day-work as privateers.
Looks great!
Why are the starting skills in rank 1 advances?
My Guess would be to allow skill mastery, assuming that the rouge trader system will be basicly the same as dark heracy, if you have the same skill twice you get a +10
Yay.... the tech priest type i was wondering about.
Why are the starting skills in the rank 1 advances?
Explorators must be friendly they fellowship advances
Looking good :) Can't wait for this to come out.
Not that I'm picky though but I think there's a typo FFG might need checking. The line;
"There more than a few Explorators who, in their desire to uncover the secrets of the universe,"
I think is meant to read;
"There ARE more than a few Explorators who, in their desire to uncover the secrets of the universe,"
WOOT! I loved the tech-priest in DH and this does not dissapoint! I know what class I'm playing! ;)
Indeed. I'm liking this quite a bit and can't wait for August to start Traderizing!
THAT!° is a PREVIEW!
So, it seems we have proof that starting RT-Characters ARE "more powerfull" then their DH counterparts. Espeically this "universal weapon talents" seems nice. A mighty member of the mechanicus SHOULD know all of the tools of his trade..
