Fantasy Flight Games Announces New Website Features 14
Upcoming Products Page and News Article Comments
News | Published 13 February 2009

Dear FFG Visitor,

As mentioned before, we have been hard at work creating improvements and additional features to the new FFG website. Today, we are pleased to announce two new features:

New Upcoming Page

We have worked hard to dynamically integrate and recreate one the most popular features of FFG's former site -- the "Upcoming Products" page. Today we're revealing this new page to the public (simply hit the "Upcoming" link on the header bar.) You will now, once more, be able to follow the production and shipping progress of anticipated FFG products in the pipeline, as well as see which FFG products are undergoing reprints.

The dynamic back-end functionality of the new FFG website allows our sales and production teams to directly update information on upcoming products, so you should see more frequent and more accurate updates to this site than in the past.

(This update also fixes the issue of the permanent "Buy Now" button which was attached to all of our products descriptions, regardless of their actual availability.)

New Message Comments

Most of our website news items now feature the capability to add your comments directly to the news item. You'll need to log in to your FFG website account to do so. (This feature has actually been in live testing for about a week, so you may have noticed this already.)

We continue to work on new features and improvements for the website. As always, thank you for your patronage and thank you for playing.

I love having the upcoming back, but I'd like to see the reprints on a separate page, to make it more organized. :)

This looks great!

Any chance of adding any type of sort or filter to it? I'd love to be able to view by RPG/Board Game/LCG, etc.

Nice to have the opportunity to say congratulations on the new site in general. As a designer myself, I found the old one frustrating, but this new website is exceptional and completely up-to-date both technically and visually. Nice work, and my compliments to the people responsible!

Hi All,

Please note that the Upcoming section is not where FFG will announce new product. Thus, it is entirely intentional that you're do not seeing any product news on this page. Rather, it is the place to follow the development and production status of products that FFG has already announced. As product are announced (right on the front page, and their respective mini-sites) they will be added to the upcoming page.

Best Wishes,

cP

Yet not a word about Battlelore, even on the Upcoming page, despite a hinted update "after February 11th"...
