Anima Game Studio is pleased to announce that Anima: Ark of Sinners, the first video game based on the Anima: Beyond Fantasy universe, will launch in America on October 27th. The title will be released for the Nintendo Wii via the online distribution channel WiiWare in America.

Anima: Ark of Sinners is the first release from Anima Game Studio and is the product of more than a year and a half of development. Now, the fruit of that effort comes to you via the online distribution channel of Nintendo WiiWare.
The script and direction of the game were developed by Carlos B. Garcia, the award-winning creator and head writer of the Anima books. The character designs, environment, and creatures come from the talented partnership of Li Yu Wen (Anima: Beyond Fantasy) and Marvel Comics artist Salvador Espin (Ultimate X-Men, Hulk Wars).
The game plays in approximately four to six hours, although those who seek to unveil all its secrets can immerse themselves even twice as long.
Set in Gaïa, the world of Anima: Beyond Fantasy, Ark of Sinners is an action game starring Celia, one of its most famous characters.
Celia is the main character of Ark of Sinners. She is a young, rogue agent of Selene, an organization of deadly assassins who raised the girl in order to mold her into the ultimate weapon.
On the run from her former masters, Celia falls into an ancient metropolis known only as Ark.
Without any knowledge about how she got there or what links her to the empty city, Celia delves into its dark streets looking for her friend Nemo, only to discover that Ark is full of strange shadows and nightmarish creatures.
There is much more in store for Celia than she even begins to suspect…
Ark of Sinners is a game of revelations and high adventure, featuring lateral gameplay in a three-dimensional environment.
You control of Celia as she explores the streets and places of the Eternal City. Ark City is an open world. You can move freely within its limits and retrace your steps to unlock new sections and districts of the vast metropolis. Like solving a big puzzle, Celia’s travels all move in pursuit to unravel the city’s hidden secrets.
To deal with the dangers lurking in the dark places of Ark, our heroine relies upon her unique fighting style. Ark of Sinners allows you to perform Celia’s many different combos, from sending her enemies into the air and finishing them off mid-flight, to unleashing devastating Ki techniques.

I like the game. The art is great and the goth music gives it a good feel. The story line is nice to discover as well. It gives me some ideas to use in my rpg storyline. I agree that the main character's atire is not kid friendly in the cut scenes but there is no nudity. Overall its a good game for the right price.
I don't mind the costume. sure its impractacle, but if gameplay turns out good, I could seriously care less. I would also like to agree that wii was an odd choice, as it is like the little child that is successful only because it is cute.

Seeing that my friend has a Wii... okay, technically, he's a housemate that lives in the next room over, but you get the idea... anyway, I might be able to pick this up later today (it's almost 3 in the morning where I am). That does, however, depend on finances and how much it costs. I'd have to pay him back when I get the money it costs, but that's not the important part, What is important is that I'll be getting it (hopefully).
I don't mind that it's on Wii, but good grief, could they possibly have made that outfit any more ridiculous? I love having strong female characters in games, but not if the developer just throws them in to be eye-candy.
I saw the Anima icon and I was so hoping for news that Core Exxet or Arcane Exxet was being released, or that Dominus Exxet or Those Who Walked Amongst Us was being released in PDF.
Wii may be a family console, but the character is too naked for me to be interested in playing or for me to let my teen son play. Underboob is not really family friendly.
I guess I have to admit that it's a bit of a turnoff from the RPG in general, for me, but the minis are nice, if you pick and choose appropriately.
Why am I not surprised that the main character is a superficial character from a superficial faction like Selene. Instead of publishing a horrible game i'd rather see the release of more quality product...
Well - the Wii is a great idea to develop for if you really want to use the Nun-chuck to control your character. It's possible they feel it's the best control scheme.
iPhone, Android, PC, PS3 & X-box360 are all better than Wii...why choose this system only? Please make it multi-platform.
I also won't be able to purchase because it's on the Wii. I hope for a PS3 or PC port to come because I'd love to pick it up.
Wii is a "family" console... Perhaps that's the strategy - a flawed one, yes, but... Maybe, just maybe, they'll hit their target ...
