Announcing the reprinted King's Landing expansion cycle for A Game of Thrones
A Game of Thrones LCG | Published 18 August 2011

Some lies you have to tell. Lies had been all that kept her alive in King’s Landing.
A Feast for Crows, George. R. R. Martin

Fantasy Flight Games is thrilled to announce the upcoming reprint of the King’s Landing expansion cycle for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game! The heart of the Seven Kingdoms and home to the Iron Throne is a city of lies, deceit, and treachery. However, King’s Landing dictates the future of Westeros. The great Houses hide their secrets in shadows...waiting to strike and take control.

Updated to the new 60 card format

The reprint of the King’s Landing expansion cycle has been updated to the 60-card format (3 copies each of 20 unique cards). The included cards are updated with rules text based on the most recent FAQ and Errata. This cycle features a feast of fan-favorite cards such as Tyrion Lannister, Condemned by the Council, Robert Baratheon, The Red Keep, Aegon’s Legacy, and Rhaenys’s Hill. The reprint of the King’s Landing expansion cycle is a welcome addition to any player, new or veteran, looking to expand their collection or interested in Shadows-centered deck-building.

This expansion cycle features the intrigues and secrets of the capitol city of Westeros. Known for introducing the “Shadows” mechanic, King’s Landing also includes “City” Plot cards in each of its Chapter Packs that build off each other; most of these “City” Plot cards become more powerful the more “City” Plot cards a player possesses...and the deeper into the city he goes.

For more information about the “Shadows” mechanic, download the Shadows rules from the A Game of Thrones: The Card Game support page now.

The intrigues and betrayals of King’s Landing returns to A Game of Thrones: The Card Game in the fourth quarter of 2011!

Based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling fantasy epic A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, playable by 2-4 players, brings the beloved heroes, villains, locations, and events of the world of Westeros to life through innovative game mechanics and the highly strategic game play. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Chapter Pack expansions to the core game.

I've only got a complete A Clash of Arms set, so this is perfect. Only got the first two in A Time for Ravens also. Hopefully that's next :)

Considering FFG already started doing it a long while back now with CoC I think your commission for the idea is not exactly warranted.

I hope to see ACoA come back as I only have one of most of those packs and they had some great cards.

I feel get I should recognition (or commission) from FFG for this, as I suggested in a comment some months back!

Can anyone shed any light as to why FFG have started the reprint with the "Kings Landing" cycle and not the "A Clash of Arms" cycle?

Its good news either way.  I also hope the "A Clash of Arms" cycle will finally get white borders!

I've also bought 2 of each, but the triplicate release news is:

Now if only Clash of Arms and Time for Ravens cycles can get the same triplicate & errata update treatment that Kings' Landing cycle is getting!
Hint! Hint FFG!!  :D

This is possibly some of the best news I've heard in a while. I was just discussing when this would happen and it now is reality!

Nice to hear...but one of the card images should have been Alchemist Guild Hall with the new "Limited Response" wording printed on it.

There are some packs from this cycle I'll be buying multiples of. You can never have too many copies of Condemned or Hand's Judgement.

Is Aegon's Legacy really that much of a "fan favorite"? Glad that these are coming out, if only for the new players; although a little sad for myself that I've already bought at least 1-2 of all of them.
