Experienced Dust Tactics players will find that none of the core rules have changed. Dust Tactics is a tactical miniatures game of brutal combat for 2-4 players. Based on the popular universe created by artist Paolo Parente, Dust Tactics presents an alternate 1940s reality in which alien technology fuels gigantic machines of war, and the world's superpowers clash over rare mineral deposits that could ultimately decide the outcome of WWII.
Must have zombies...
Good job. But why isn't it mentioned anywhere in this book that Artillery weapons ignore all kinds of cover?
And what about the old restriction against using artillery weapons inside buildings, is it gone?
indeed good revised rulebook, cleaned up and finally a quick reference guide :)
@Grodzilla, I love those gorillas too! Hope to get at least 3 units of those once they are available in my country :)
@UniversalHead, some items from the FAQ are in the revised rulebook. But some aren't. The FAQ serves a different purpose. Rather than teaching the rules of the game, it clarifies those tricky situations that may arise as players play the game more. And since FFG already stated that this is a living document, it will be continuously updated as more tricky situations arise during gameplay that may not be adequately addressed in the rulebook..
Question - does this include stuff in the recent FAQ?
I noticed in the rule book they talk about Aircraft, helicopters and air borne units. I think I'm going to be spending a lot of money on this game. I hope there are more gorillas, I love those guys.
Great preview...good job!
Just finished reading thru the new rulebook, and I must say.... it is sooo much better than the original. There are more and clearer examples. The rules are worded better, and the diagrams, with all those green and red arrows and corner symbols, are ingeniously annotated to augment the explanation of the rules. And best of all, new rules introduced in the two campaign expansions are also included and further clarified. There's even a quick reference chart at the end of the rulebook. Good job, FFG. I strongly recommend all players to use this rulebook instead of the original one.
Definitely will read it.
This is cool. Will use them at this weekends game
