The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can...
–The Fellowship of the Ring
Gollum’s trail has led the heroes south to the hills of Emyn Muil, but then it grew cold. Now, the heroes must explore this vast expanse of Middle-earth wilderness, in the hopes of rediscovering the trail and following it wherever the elusive creature has fled…
Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the upcoming release of The Hills of Emyn Muil, the fourth Adventure Pack in the Shadows of Mirkwood cycle for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game! The hunt for Gollum continues in this exciting expansion, which includes a Quest card and its related Encounters, plus new Hero, Attachment, and Ally cards!
Narrowing the Search
Having lost Gollum’s trail at the Carrock, then embarked on a mission of mercy to Rhosgobel, the heroes now come to the hills of Emyn Muil, where they have only one objective: to find Gollum. This engaging Adventure Pack contains the first ever single-card quest, in which players must gather victory points by exploring a wide range of locations. Can you scour Emyn Muil and determine Gollum’s whereabouts before it’s too late?
With 60 new cards for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, The Hills of Emyn Muil will augment existing decks while providing players with entirely new challenges for their heroes.
Keep checking back for more, and look for The Hills of Emyn Muil on store shelves in the third quarter of 2011!
The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is a cooperative card game that puts 1-2 players (or up to four with an additional Core Set) in control of the most powerful characters and artifacts of Middle-earth. Players will select heroes, gather allies, acquire artifacts, and coordinate their efforts to face Middle-earth’s most dangerous fiends. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Adventure Pack expansions to the core game.
Or any game for that matter. =)
"I think the 'marketing' people should be multi-tasking as FAQ writers :)"
Ooh, judging by the marketing people I know, you really, really, really DON'T want them to write a FAQ for this game!
My "yell" for FAQ wasnt that serious.
I think the 'marketing' people should be multi-tasking as FAQ writers :)
Please, stop. This is torture... i want it now.
For those of you yelling for a FAQ before announcements, not gonna happen. FFG has to announce the new sets 3 months in advance to allow lead time for the distributors and retailers so they know what is coming. Also note that just because they are marketing a new product, this has nothing to do with a FAQ. It is not like Nate needs to take time from his day to announce a product that he is already done with. This is all done by the marketing folks not the game designers so one does not interfere with the other.
Yes, FAQ pleas .................
@Paul Grogan
Well before annoucements for stuff that's like 4-5 months away for sure.
Just imagine your at Essen then playing the game wrong will seem natural.
Would really like some official FAQ before any more annoucements :)
@MarioelKamui: What, I didn't say anything :P !
all the caracthers!!!! dam...like you said northern tracker and rohan guys
Northern Tracker for the win!!!
Also let's see a Tactic deck beat a heavy location mission
Hmm, I wonder if FFG has any plans to prevent Northern Trackers from breaking this scenario.
Edit: Actually, I suppose they could simply use locations with a high number of progress points and/or Threat, now that I think about it. Looks like I might learn to appreciate Lorien Guide a little bit more.
