"The Mage was not like other maesters. People said that he kept company with whores and hedge wizards, talked with hairy Ibbenese and pitch-black Summer Islanders in their own tongues... Some even whispered that once he had killed a man with his fists."
–George R.R. Martin, A Feast For Crows
Another Link in the Chain
Mask of the Archmaester introduces 60 cards - 3 copies each of 20 never-before-seen locations, attachments, characters, events, and plots to aid your A Game of Thrones deckbuilding goals. This Chapter Pack features more Chain attachments as well as more diverse and surprising events and support for the ever-deepening Maester trait.
New characters from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series will be introduced into the Living Card Game environment for the first time, including Ser Jon Fossoway and The Mad Mouse. Exciting new versions of existing characters will also enter the fold, including a Rickon Stark that will aid House Stark's deck-searching capabilities. Watch out as sub-themes expand further, including House Dayne's Starfall Cavalry, Iron Fleet Raiders, and more.
Events, such as The Archmaester’s Wrath, will benefit your attack against your opponent. The Archmaester’s Wrath allows a player to take advantage of having Maester characters in play, unexpectedly forcing himself and his opponent to discard characters outside the challenges phase.
Forge new links in your chain and rise high in the Citadel's hierarchy when Mask of the Archmaester releases in the third quarter of 2011!

The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Chapter Pack expansions to the core game.
I wonder if Ser Jon Fossaway will be dual-house... I love the dual-house cards, so fun.
I'm hoping every house gets some good maester support. Martell initially looks like it will get the best use out of this.
Hey Shad, looks like they are finally printing Ser Shadrich, The Mad Mouse. Khal Viper, you might want to let him know.
Also, I can only assume that when they mention Rickon Stark, they are referring to old ccg versions, since I don't believe he has ever seen print in LCG. I'm betting that the Ser Jon Fossaway art will be the same as in the artbook, which is amazing!
