A Big Tale for the Small Screen
Last, but certainly not least, HBO’s upcoming prime time television adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s acclaimed book series begins April 17th. Fans of the books and of the games set in the vibrant realms of Martin’s prose are encouraged to experience this show, which is currently riding an unprecedented wave of commercial anticipation.
The Next Chapter
A few minor production errors for the upcoming A Game of Thrones: The Card Game cycle, Secrets of Oldtown, in combination with the Chinese New Year, has caused the printing of Secrets of Oldtown to take longer than anticipated. Rest assured, though, production is back on track and the first Chapter Pack Gates of the Citadel should be in your hands in a matter of weeks.
Experience all of these exciting A Game of Thrones related events while you prepare to discover the Secrets of Oldtown.
Based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling fantasy epic A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, playable by 2-4 players, brings the beloved heroes, villains, locations, and events of the world of Westeros to life through innovative game mechanics and the highly strategic game play. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Chapter Pack expansions to the core game.
I wish they'd at least given us a card spoiler. Two months without new chapter pack makes me a sad panda.
Will there be a viewing party at the EC?
Has anyone got any idea what happned to the UK release of 'A Song of Silence' , it has failed to materialise, not even the UK distributors know why or where it is???
So...that's what happened with my preorder. Good to be on the know.
Sad to hear about the delay in production, as I really, REALLY want to play with some new cards. But at least you are letting us know why the wait is so long.
Hey there FFG,
Considering your line: "Fans of the books and of the games set in the vibrant realms of Martin’s prose are encouraged to experience this show, which is currently riding an unprecedented wave of commercial anticipation." is there any chance of FFG riding this same unprecedented wave of anticipation by releasing some info on the planned reprint of the A Game of Thrones board game?
I'm an ardent fan of the Battles of Westeros games which you are doing a good job with supporting and new releases, and it is plain to see that the LCG is constantly high on the agenda with announcements and releases on the news page most weeks.
But what about the precursor to both games, the original A Game of Thrones board game? Surely now is also the time to reprint and re-release the board game of the same name to the upcoming HBO show?
Are we like to see it this year, will it be a standard reprint or are any new additions/components/rules revisions planned? Any information is apprecaited!
