Cadwallon: City of Thieves | Published 23 November 2010

The dimly lit pub was populated by unsavory characters of all types, sipping their drinks as they surveyed the room from beneath dark hoods. The innkeeper moved deftly and noiselessly to refill the cups of his thirsty patrons with the watered-down swill he kept on tap, until a gaunt man in a tall top hat interrupted him.

“I’m looking for something... special, and I understand you’re the man to see,” whispered the visitor. The innkeeper’s eyes narrowed, but the visitor’s hand quickly appeared from beneath his cloak, jingling a leather purse full of coins. “Aye,” grumbled the innkeeper, the glint of gold in his eye. “What’ll it be?”

The thieves of Cadwallon are always looking for an edge, and an inventive innkeeper may have just what they need. But in this town, nothing comes without a price...

Good idea, Holywolfman.  And thank you very much, Genre_fad.  Glad someone's looking out for us on this site.

Certainly worth a go if you feel it restores some game equality.  I like the new set of rules though - played this game for the first time on Tuesday and everyone agreed it was a lot of fun (and mayhem!).

Yeah... this is really nice! (a must try)

One comment though...

Just Curious, why is it the "First Player always seems to have an edge up on the other players? (ie: FIrst to place a Gang member, Usually places more portcullis in a given game, and now chooses first of equipment/ The Blunderbuss is pretty nice!)... in this variant, maybe the "Last Player" chooses first and go counter clock-wise and the First player chooses Last for a change then it should go around normally starting with the First Player and so on going back clock-wise... any thoughts?

Be sure to go to the SUPPORT PAGE for the HI-RES pdf for printing,

Don't print the low-res web .pdf that they link to from this article, like I did. Big difference in print quality, obviously.

This looks like fun. Might make up for the lack of varying stats on the thieves.
