wow, i just became a troll somehow lol

thanks to the editior for chiming in, its nice to see FF looks into these complaints.

and yes to others i am canadian, and the truck(s?) were delayed at the boarder. which is beyond their control. unless they packed alot of coke into the shipment. which the boarder guards might take issue with.

im just suggesting perhaps it would be nicer if these products were released on a fixed, known date. like many other companies do.

a reasonable request?

Alexis has the facts completely incorrect, unless seen from a non-U.S context.

 @Alexisnotonfire

I bought my copy in a store on 9/23, one day before this announcement was posted.

Sad but true reality of life in Canada is we are always at least a little bit behind in pretty much anything.

Alexisisnotonfire, let me try to explain something to you.

I'm going to conclude, from your comments about trucks held up at customs, that you are a fellow Canadian (or perhaps a Mexican).  If that is that case, I have to say that it is unrealistic to expect FFG (or any company for that matter) to withhold release announcements until the product has reached stores all across the continent.  I am certain that the vast majority of U.S. retailers have this product.  It is no fault of FFG that cross-border shipping takes as long as it does these days.

You are right that it is irritating, and that it is something we have gotten used to.  The other thing you need to accept is that we are not FFG's primary market.  Nor, would I imagine, are we a large part of their customer base.  It is therefore unreasonable to expect them to cater to us.

Considering it was listed as on the trucks and shipping out on the 15th I don't agree with your argument.

they post "its on sale!" once its on the trucks, not in stores. its availibitly is only shown on the web.

also, the rituals of r'hllor chapter pack hasnt arrived yet, since customs is holding it.

announcing somethings availible before its acutal street release date is just kinda jumping the gun.

EDITOR: This is factually incorrect. We mark the game "Shipping Now" when on the trucks going to wholesalers and distributors.  And mark it "In Stores Now" when available throughout the country (meaning that most retailers have had ample opportunity to order and receive the product.)

This is the day that it is allowed to go on sales, its outside of FFG's control on how the distributors get stuff to the actual stores. Some do have them in time, some don't.

guess so, but i know retailers are annoyed with this. many a customer goes into a shop looking for it and walk out disapointed to find that its has even reach distributors yet, since theyre sitting on trucks.

EDITOR: This is not the case, when FFG announces this, most US stores will have it in stock.

Dear Fantasy flight.

please stop posting that your products are now for sale when they havnt even arrived in stores. weve gotten used to this, but it doesnt make it anymore annoying.

EDITOR: We post our items "for sale" on this website 1 day after the items are available in most U.S. stores. If your store does not have the items  at that date, they should be able to do so.
