Gunnar Thundrik could feel unkind eyes on him, watching his company’s every move. But he told himself to press on, letting the famous stubbornness of dwarfs renounce his misgivings. He had to find Belkrum, and he would not rest until his brother’s secret was safe in his own hands. Together with his dwarf companions, he ventured further into the gloom of Black Fire Pass, heedless of the goblin rider that watched from above.
This summer, Fantasy Flight Games introduced new and veteran players of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay to the dangers of Black Fire Pass. If you weren't able to attend this exciting event, lay down your grudge! Journey to Black Fire Pass (pdf, 6.8 MB) is now available for download on our support page. The career sheets for the Dwarfs used in this adventure, featuring the new Dwarf career, Miner, can also be found on the support page.
Old grudges emerge in the light of new discoveries surrounding the dark region of Black Fire Pass. A small company of dwarfs sets out from Karak Azgaraz to ensure the delivery of a powerful boon to the High King. But as they march into enemy territory, their journey will not be easy.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is a roleplaying game that sets unlikely heroes on the road to perilous adventure, in the grim setting of Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy world. Players will venture into the dark corners of the Empire, guided by luck and Fate, and challenge the threats that others cannot or will not face.
Just ran Blackfire Pass yesterday and we really enjoyed it. It was the first time playing WFRP3e for all of us and despite being a little overwhelmed, we enjoyed the range of options available and as a GM, I really appreciated a fully developed adventure that allowed the players to try out a range of game mechanics while exploring an interesting story.
However, we did run into one problem. On Thord and Gunnar’s character sheets, the text refers to them delivering the information to the High King (who rules over Karak a Karak). In the adventure itself on page 7 it refers to them delivering the information to King Kazador (who rules over Karak Azul).
I understand that the adventure is correct and the character sheets are wrong, but being new to this world, I didn’t catch on their character sheets this difference and it created a lot of confusion at the end. Hopefully the character sheets can get corrected so that it doesn't confuse people in the future.
That aside, thank you for delivering great products and a great game! You've hooked us.
A very cool gesture from FFG and one that will be lapped up by our gaming group who are all new to WFRPG
hmmm, "world" that is...
Wuli: only one new career - miner - and it's career ability is as part of that characters write up on page 30 at the top on the right. All the others are previously released careers with dwarven artwork.
A great idea, by the way FFG, and I hope that we see all the careers available to dwarfs, and the corresponding stand ups, redone with dwarf art. My wife would like me to add that female versions of all the careers in all the different races would also be awesome...ah in a perfect work...
One of the few wfrp3 products I wholeheartly like. Consider me impressed. A 32p scenario for free is a generous gift. The content, a non-chaos-dwarfen-only-quest, is also very appreciated. Finally a module without the usual Warhammer theme "catch the cultist from city xy" (any of the empires cities here). Thank you very much FFG.
I am glad this is finally here :D
Go dwarfs Go !
Are the Career Abilities for the new dwarf careers listed somewhere in the pdf though ? I did not find them, but I might have overlooked them.
Yes, Jay promised that adventure will be avaliable after GenCon and it is published. He always keeps his word like we can see! Thanks Jay!
I do like demo adventures, and I'm pleased to see the care the FFG's WHRP team are giving the scenarios you are building. It's very good to see that Warhammer tradition of having great adventures that focus in more than just combat and also comes explaining a lot of features about the Empire, the place the adventures unfolds, the careers that appear in it etc...
Didn't check this one yet, but I thrilled about a just dwarf setting. It will become better when The Balck Fire Pass expansion comes out, won't it? Runemagic!!! :]
Thank you very much for posting this adventure! Demo adventures are very helpful for introducing the game to new players!
A great adventure. Dwarfs rock!
