A Warhammer: Invasion Card of the Week |
| Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game | Published 03 August 2010 | Rating | 24 votes |

Welcome back to the Warhammer: Invasion card of the week spotlight, in which we preview a card from an upcoming expansion. We’ve seen relatively little from the next Battle Pack scheduled to hit stores, The Silent Forge. When we announced this third Battle Pack in The Enemy Cycle back in May, we revealed the Descendant of Indraugnir, a powerful Dragon ready to inflict massive damage to enemies of the High Elves.
Today, we’ll again turn our attention to the forces of Chaos.
Esli’an is a silver-tongued follower of Tzeentch, and he wields his knowledge like a sword, scheming to bring even the most stoic opponent under the influence of his dark master.
His ability reads like Chaos’ answer to Wilhelm of the Osterknacht. When he attacks (meaning when he is declared as an attacker, but before assigning damage), he is able to corrupt one unit in the defending zone! As with Wilhelm, this is a great way to get pesky defenders out of the way, just in time to strike a major blow to a now-vulnerable zone. If you have a Winged Fury on your front line, or if you’re able to drop a well-timed Spreading Darkness, all the better!
A final note: With our preparations for GenCon in full swing, the Warhammer: Invasion card of the week will be taking some time off. We’ll return in two weeks with more exciting previews, so keep checking back. In the meantime, we’ll see you at GenCon!
Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card
game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order or the forces of Destruction as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Battle Pack expansions to the core game.
nice card . cant wait to get my hands on it
Oh and glad to see the characters in Godwin's short stories taking form in game. Very cool indeed
Mmm.. synergy. Delicious, chaotic synergy.
Now this is one great card for me - especialy becouse I love to play Chaos!
I hope Chaos keeps getting good cards like this.

I am clicking refresh but not getting the card to make up for last week. =P
But true, Wilhelm is stronger. Could easily win games if the opponent started with units instead of supports.
I really like this guy ! His ability maybe weaker in itself (at least in a duel) than Winhelm, but easier to combine as we have LOTS of corruption effects now. Also, he is cheaper.
Even it's better to use against the battlefield, because can deal with units (temporaly) without giving extra cards or resources to the opponent.
Finally Chaos gets something good, its still not as good as Wilhelm though because Empire has Church of Sigmar and will usually have one out so it will costs chaos one resource every time he attacks with this guy, but it would be well worth it of course. Excellent ability to make corruption much more effective.
Chaos, Empire, Chaos...Maybe Orkz?
Bow to the architect of fate!
