The endless struggle between the spirits of light and the forces of darkness is escalating. Mighty heroes are called to choose their alignment and fight to prove themselves worthy, for Judgement Day approaches...and war between the heavens and the abyss is about to begin.
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Sacred Pool! This latest expansion for the classic board game Talisman brings new excitement and tension to your quest for the Crown of Command.
Four new playable characters join the race for power, and never-before-seen Alternate Ending cards ensure ample replayability. Meanwhile, Stable cards bring you useful equestrian followers, and Quest Reward cards give new incentives to complete the perilous Warlock Quests! In addition, The Sacred Pool presents new reasons to watch your character’s alignment.
The inclusion of Neutral Alignment cards allow you to follow new paths in Talisman and possibly receive greater rewards...if you choose the right side.
The Sacred Pool introduces a number of optional variant rules that can be combined individually or as a whole to your Talisman games. If you would prefer a new, versatile end game, then simply include the Alternate Ending cards.
One of the most exciting new additions that The Sacred Pool brings to Talisman are the Quest Reward cards. Previous expansions presented more ways to receive a variety of quests, however until now the ultimate reward for doing quests did not offer any reason to continue questing more than once in a single game. Quest Reward cards provide tempting new motivations to undertake the Warlock Quests, giving players new powers and treasures.
In addition, The Sacred Pool presents new reasons to watch your character’s alignment. The inclusion of Neutral Alignment cards allow you to follow new paths in Talisman and possibly receive greater rewards...if you choose the right side.
The Sacred Pool comes with 4 new characters, 72 new Adventure cards, 16 new Spell cards, 24 Quest Reward cards, and much more! Don’t be the last one to reach the Crown of Command and glimpse into the sacred waters to see if you are worthy of power...

My 5 year old loves talisman. He needs help with reading the cards but he remembers everything. Cant wait to expand the adventure deck yet again. How many cards is that now?
Come on, when we'll see some news about sacred pool? Waiting is so untolerable...
I think the september the 1st will show us how long we'll have to wait...around october 15 should be in europe...in U.S. sooner...looking forward.
Oh how I wish we'd get some more info on how close they are to release.
Really sick of the whole Quests thing...it has been a failure.. it has never been worthwhile and has never worked. Please let this be the last expansions with Quests are a focus!
Other than that seems great and can't wait!
Each new expansion is better than the other! We play all of expansions at the same time, can't wait for this one. I think that idea about quest rewards is great...
Timescape!!!! Please Please Please!
>>I want an officially printed version of the Danse Macabre ending... It's impossible to print one at home and mix it seamlessly with the "official ones"<<
What my group does, is to have the Warlock Quest ending fill in for the Danse Macabre, since the Warlock Quest would have to be decided on at the beginning of the game and therefore would not be included in the random draw of endings.

Nice box cover:D
This looks like a interesting expansion.
I look forward to it:)
