The Horror in the Clay 10
Coming this Fall, a New Cthulhu Domain Statue
Call of Cthulhu LCG | Published 19 July 2010

"No recognised school of sculpture had animated this terrible object, yet centuries and even thousands of years seemed recorded in its dim and greenish surface of unplaceable stone."
- The Call of Cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft

Coming this Fall, Fantasy Flight Games is proud to present the Cthulhu Domain Statue. This beautifully-sculpted 2-piece figure makes a perfect accessory for your Call of Cthulhu LCG game, functioning as both a domain card, and as a domain marker. The weight of the domain card component will hold your resource cards in place while you are playing the Call of Cthulhu card game, and the domain marker indicates to your opponents the status of your resources, as well as lending Cthulhu's dark countenance to your side of the confrontation.

The Cthulhu Domain Statue is 2.75" (70mm) tall and is made of resin in dark green with a black wash, illuminating the details of its sculpture, based on the descriptions of Cthulhu and the sunken city of R'lyeh found in H.P. Lovecraft's immortal work of horror, The Call of Cthulhu. The Cthulhu Domain Statue is an immersive accessory for lovers of the Cthulhu Mythos and a game component of distinct quality and detail.

This Fall, prepare for the coming of Cthulhu....

UPDATE: These will be sold one per pack (SRP $19.95). Just as FFG is supporting the AGOT LCG with resin house cards, your intrepid (if slightly mad) investigators should stay tuned for additional unspeakable horrors to guard their drained domains.

Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game takes two players deep into the Cthulhu Mythos where investigators clash with the Ancient Ones and Elder Gods for the fate of the world. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Asylum Pack expansions to the core game.

I'd like to see a Yog-Sothoth version of this, personally.

I'll buy at least one for sure, and I'll be keeping and eye out for "additional unspeakable horrors". Gotta catch 'em all!

Yeah, it's not real cheap, but neither are the resin cards for AGOT. The implication that there are additional faction domain cards on the way sounds great. I want a Yog and a Hastur, please.

I really don't think these are necessary to play the game, so complaints about how they don't come 3 to a pack are rendered moot. This is just an added bonus for those that like a bit of flair here and there! (and who like Cthulhu statues) :)

This is all good, but honestly, I would settle for a series of six dedicate domain cards, similar to what was previously found in the CCG.

Looks like 1 per pack.

I wonder if the regular Cthulhu marker from the LCG Core Set would fit on that rectangular groove.
