Announcing the latest Asylum Pack for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game
Call of Cthulhu LCG | Published 14 January 2010

I deserve everything they did to me, everything and more. But deserving something doesn’t make it any easier to live through. And living through something, I’ve learned, doesn’t make it any easier to believe.
-from Empty Sockets, part one of The Yuggoth Contract by Nate French

Alone and enshrouded in pitch blackness, you fumble about, searching for some source of light. As your shouts for help echo through the darkness, panic begins to grab hold of you. How can any place be so dark? Have you gone blind? How could you even know for sure? Then the whispers start, and your sanity begins to slowly unravel...

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce that Whispers in the Dark, the first Asylum Pack in the next exciting cycle for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, will hit tabletops this spring! Drive your own characters over the edge of sanity in order to trigger powerful new effects, and introduce Lunatics, Serpents, Students, and Tactics into your card pool.

A new story also begins as Tyler Scindere, a Syndicate hitman, takes on a job that will change the way he sees the world…

Whispers in the Dark is a fixed 60 card Asylum Pack that contains 20 different never-before-seen cards based on the dark mythos of master horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the Call of Cthulhu metagame.

Best of all, Whispers in the Dark is the first LCG™ monthly release to adopt the versatile new collation format, meaning you’ll receive three copies each of all twenty cards in one convenient purchase! Check out “The Best Just Got Better,” an article explaining the details of this exciting change, then get ready to enjoy Call of Cthulhu even more!

Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game takes two players deep into the Cthulhu Mythos where investigators clash with the Ancient Ones and Elder Gods for the fate of the world. The Living Card Game™ format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Asylum Pack expansions to the core game.
