This is the reason why i really like the movement system in Talisman. The random movement of the dice is just like the Homero´s Odisea. Like Ulises searching his way across a lot of dangers, arriving finally to his home. It is the struggle between will (of the player) and fate (of the dice)… the travel to the inner place of his heart, stronger than at the beginning. It is too like the transcript of the way to the paradise.

There is much to work from when we consider many of these Heroic archtype journeys.
I don't usually go quite the way you are, but I see the tapestry of each game as Story. Since no two games are alike, other than some major themes, there is much of a story.
I hope that a future, small expansion set will bring us concepts with Gods, Goddesses and other mythic elements. We already have minotaur, sirens and others. I've been thinking of ways to incorporate the fate tokens into a game with Gods, as I see some relative ideas there.
