Fire Ruler Placement

Can you place the firing ruler to check for a potential target anywhere within the firing arc? OR does the ruler have to have one end at the red dot of the center of the airplane, with the edge of the ruler passing over the Blue line at the front the of airplane that is firing?

Measure from the red dot anywhere within arc. So you're anchoring 1 end on the dot but you can fire at anything within the arc.

Almost forgot... as far as the enemy plane goes I've seen it played both ways... some say it much touch the plane... some the card. In our games we play with touch the card.
