assuming i have the whole collection of expantions from the 1st ed...

what's new in the 2nd ed worth buying it?

i mean... i have bought like 6 quite pricey boxes and they get a new one out that's incompatible with all my stuff... is it fun? is it fixed?

Anyone around Quebec up for a game?

Firstly, there's a conversion box coming out to at least transfer heroes and monsters between 1e and 2e.

Secondly, from what little we've seen, 2e is pretty much a different game.

That is, as they say, the question.  We don't really know because they haven't started showing us previews yet, but based on past experience with FFG edition changes, I'm reasonably confident the 2e rules will at least address the mechanical concerns from 1e adequately.  Mind you, some of those concerns might be "addressed" by simply cutting out the rules that caused the problem.

Only time will tell if the new rules are worthwhile, both in general and to you personally.

Other than the rules, we know there will be 8 all new heroes and 42 (or so) all new monster figures, and the conversion kit to give you 2e stats for all the figs from 1e, if you're so inclined.

I'm interested in seeing just what Second Ed is all about.
