Hey! My bro just bought his first home and he dedicated 1 room to board games :D
We decided to make a table for both board games and our upcoming Dust Warfare/miniature games. Bear in mind that this table will also be used for family/friends meals and parties…
So, he ended up choosing 3'-6" x 6'-0" (1.07m x 1.83m).
In DW rulebook they recommend 4'x6' (1.22m x 1.83m) for medium sized battles…
Q: Do you think it will still be "balanced" and playable with 3'-6" for 400 to 500 points armies?

Sure, just modify your deployment zone (ex. standard deployment is 3" instead of 6").

LOL excellent idea…damn so simple that I feel dumb :P
3" though is not really large to deploy but that'll leave the same distance between the 2 armies as if we were on a 4' table with a 6" deployement zone.
Thanks Poweranimal!

keep 3 2x4 boards in a closet, use them to cover the table and cover the boards with scenery/battlemat etc and youre set.
p.d.
That's what I do too. I have 3 2'x4' boards. The one side of the boards is spray painted with stone textured spray paint so it looks like asphalt.
I'm using a 4'x4' board at the moment and it is doing just fine. I know its not the normal measurments, but I'm making a board that will get bigger and bigger by adding more and more peices to it till it is very big. I think any size is good honestly, if it is to small just add another piece of plywood and continue it!

The building in the top-right corner - the end sections look like the Cerberus kit, but what's in the middle? Great looking table
