Call of the Wild - Announced!

Here. Seems like this is the best expansion so far, according to the first preview. Main improvement (for me, at least): removing the linea search for clues. This should grant a certain freedom of action to all players, and make the Keeper's work tougher. Finally.

We have dragged Reason from her throne and set in her place the Empress of Dreams [Liber Endvra]

WWWWWAAAAAAaaaa! :( :( :( Sad panda can has no new stuff till next year.

What do you do Julia, sit there and refresh FFG every second of every day? Thank you, again, for the post.

This is great news even though we have to wait. It is also very nice to know the contents for reference in deciding how to store this game.

Thanks again!

…wonder if i'm related to anyone at FFG…

I guess you're a lucky panda, then, since it's scheduled for the beginning of 2013 :-)

This expansion is going to really breathe new life into this (already fun) game. I can feel it.

The bones of the earth--they speak to me…

"Ashcan" Pete will take that off your hands when you're done with it.
Charlie Kane would befriend a strangled cat if given the chance.
Finn Edwards has very deep pockets.
Hank Samson does not care that you've mastered time travel.
Lily Chen can punch a hue.
Lola Hayes is the world's best Egyptologist.
Mark Harrigan is very good at hedge mazes.
Michael McGlen has never experienced an earthquake.
Minh Thi Phan makes group hugs empowering.
Patrice Hathaway plays songs you can't get out of your head.
Tommy Muldoon is most qualified to be deputy, yet for some reason nobody want him to be.
Tony Morgan sells meat out of the back of his van.
Ursula Downs can shop at an empty store.
Wendy Adams always wins at hide and seek.
William Yorick has a Bachelor's in Cryptozoology—no wonder he can't find work.
Wilson Richards will paint over anything for a dollar.
Zoey Samaras can torch a fire vampire.

Too bad that, it seems, there'll be only one copy of each monster.

Linear arrangement for clues is indeed what I usually do not like in official scenarios.

Several fan mades scenarios have fixed that problem though (to my knowledge "spirit, are you here ?", "esoteric order of dagon", "arctic explorer", "incomplete circle", "all saint asylum" and "in the dark dark wood"). And FFG has even also imported the concept of non-player characters (NPC here called allies) that also appeared in a fan mades ("arctic explorer", "all saint asylum" and "in the dark dark wood").

Anyway, that is excellent news ! ^^

I must have missed this somewhere . . . where did it indicate that it's $60?  I can't seem to find a price anywhere, yet.

Nah, that won't be the case. The photo showed only one of each, but that's probably for variety's sake.

It'll likely only have one Dunwich Horror and one Wizard Whateley, but Goat Spawns, Children of the Goat, and Nightgaunts will most likely carry at least two copies. Maybe Dark Young.

As far as single-copy monsters, I hope they include a footnote on how Darrell's Camera deals with them.

11 monsters in total.

1 Wizard, 1 Dunwich, 1 Dark Young. 2 Childs, 2 Nightgaunts, 2 Druids, 2 Goat Spawns. Probably so.

I rule it as just "memorize the monster type you chosen" because losing 1 monster token by his camera is just silly.

Well, I suspect there will never be 2 Dunwich Horrors or 2 wizzard Whateley in play as they clearly are named monsters. So the camera is of no use since you cannot re-use they flaws. Once beaten, they should not come back in the same game.

I just got the base game but I'm already excited about this expansion. Those monsters look great and the ability to build, and hide, the keepers hand sounds intriguing.

You win. You clean up. :)

So where does one find these fan made scenarios?  MoM clearly has great potential for custom scenarios so I'd like to see some of what other people have come up with.
