Her ability says: "Once per game, you may take any number of horror (without exceeding your sanity). For each horror you take, choose an investigator in your room to heal 4 horror."
Could the player controlling Carolyn choose herself. I mean, can an investigator select himself when resolving any skill or ability? It is very unrealistic, but it does not specify that we should choose another investigator.
