A buddy and I are looking to make an extended trip up to the event center from Chicago. We are probably going to take a train up there (and play games the entire way of course) and stay in St Paul.  But is there any decent transportation from St. Paul to Roseville?  By car it would seem to be 15-20 minutes... and we could probably catch a cab... but are there other options?

We are really excited to get up there but just looking to plan it to the T!

There are buses, certainly a lot that go fairly close to Roseville mall near there (about 6? blocks away).

Not sure if there are any other methods.  There is a Radison Hotel very near there (within 1 block) that may have some extra form of transportation available.

Where will you be staying in St. Paul? You could probably easily get a bus or two to eventually get you to the Roseville Mall area, but I think from where you'd be dropped off it would be closer to a mile walk up to the EC. That may or may not work, depending on if your lugging bags of games with you.
